IS THERE STILL SKATING IF OUR SCHOOL IS CLOSED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Yes, our coaches come to the rink despite school closures, however, they do not expect skaters to attend when road conditions or temperatures are hazardous
Our PA's (Program Assistant's) are trained and ready for another season of CanSkate! Our club appreciates each and every one of them!
Where do I buy skates?
Great question as skates are very important! There are a few options for figure skates and don't be scared of the price tag. The 2 most common stores that our club uses are United Cycle (south) and ProSkate (2 locations - west & south), all in Edmonton. Any of these are great options and will check your skaters foot to see what type of skate will work best for them. They then will heat mold the skate to your childs foot, check blade alignment and sharpen them. All of these locations also offer used skates as well for a great price (often cheaper than what you would pay at the box store but sharpened and fit to your foot too). Below is a CanSkate option that ProSkate offers this year; United Cycle may offer something similar. Our For Sale page often has some great used skates as well.
