Partnering & Testing Information
Dear Parents:
For those of you who are new to partnering and those returning, here is a recap of how we run these sessions:
1) Approximately 8-10 days prior to the partner session, I will request a partner list from each coach.
2) The schedule is created and send it back to coaches within one or two days. Your coach will notify you of
your partner times.
3) Costs for partnering are then calculated and submitted to each parent via email.
4) On partner day, the parent/skater needs to bring their fees for partnering to the music booth where we
will issue you a receipt. All fees must be paid before your skater partners as we pay the partner and the
ice the very same day as the partner session so we need the income flowing.
5) Skaters should come early to warm up on the ice while the partner is working with other skaters and you
are welcome to practice after your session with the partner is complete.
6) We generally know about 30 days in advance as to which test day will be chosen. Once that happens, the
test day is run the very same way as partner sessions, however; fees will be collected in the foyer rather
than the music booth.
If your skater has one dance, then she/he will be allotted 10 minutes. If you skater has 2 dances, they are allotted 20 minutes (10 min/dance) however; I generally ask our coaches if the skater needs 15 or 20 minutes when they have 2 dances.
Thank you & best of luck this season.
