Pre-CanSkate
A readiness program of 8 basic skills to prepare skaters for CanSkate. Generally for younger aged skaters who have never skated before - Ages 3-5. The 30 minute program focuses on learning through FUN! High energy music, actions, and toys, create an inviting learning environment for any preschooler learning to skate. As skaters progress, the program transitions into the CanSkate program.
CanSkate
A flagship learn-to-skate program that offers basic skating instruction conducted in a fun, friendly group lesson format. The nationally-tested and proven curriculum showcases a comprehensive series of skills, using a badge and ribbon award system to help reward and motivate skaters for achieving different skills in the three skill areas: Balance, Control, Agility.
Whether you are looking to improve basic skating skills for figure skating, hockey, ringette or speed skating, or wish to skate for recreation, fun, or fitness, CanSkate will get you there. This 60 minute session is designed for children 5 years and older (experienced or former Pre-Canskaters 4 years may register as well). New members do not need to have had any experience on the ice.

Skaters work through levels and skills at their own pace, and complete skills as they are ready. Children move through fun stations and activities to increase skill and achieve badges as they move through the levels.
